Marketplace 3 Reflection: My last one!

Posted on May 25, 2011 by

I was so excited! Today we had MARKETPLACE THREE AND OUR PARENTS CAME! These are the top 5 things I learned in the whole of Economics/Marketplace.

If you have an attractive store, and there is a more attractive store close to you, then the best way to make more money is to move away from that store and move to a group of less attractive stores.

The display can help a lot.

You need lots of stock to get lots of money.

Advertising needs to be bright and outstanding.

You should make the price just right.

These are the top 5 things that went excellently well.

I sold out!

My mother was able to come! ( I consider this amazing, since she had to go on the bus.)

I earned lots of money!

So many people loved mine!

I loved everybody’s product!

And one more…

I loved Marketplace!

My Blogging Learning

It’s time to reflect on my blogging!

It is almost summer holiday.  We have to make a reflection.  We started our blogs in October and now it’s May already!  This is what my blog looked like in October.

This is what my blog looks like now.

During that time I have learned about making comments on other people’s blogs, replying to comments, adding new widgets, improving my About page, what are good things to write about, inserting videos, inserting pictures, embedding things, making new post categories, making new links, making new link categories, making a blog post, changing my theme, changing my password and user name, linking to things on my blog post, putting attribution, and lots lots more.

I love blogging because you can share your experiences, thoughts, and even feelings without having to get up and show everybody.  Do you love blogging?  I do!

I’ve learned so much abut blogging!

Both of these pictures were taken by our wonderful cheesy teacher, Ms.Chesebro.

Marketplace: Number 2!

Today we had Marketplace number 2.  It was so fun!  I brought my products and the second graders came!  These are my experiences.

My profit was 51 banthers.

My product was good.

My location was good.

Rax went away from PJ and he sold better.  This proves that if you have an attractive store and there is another more attractive store close by, then the best way to make even more money is to move away from the more attractive store to a group of less attractive stores.  This is a good way because then instead of being out shined by a more attractive store, you stand out from less attractive stores.

A lot of people bought my product.

I sold out and I had 14 of my product!

The second picture is me when I was setting up.  I was very stressed because all my products were tangled up.

It was so absolutely completely supercallifragillisticexpealadociously fun!

Brachiosaurus

Hello everyone!  In reading the class is studying non-fiction and my group is studying extinct animals and I specifically am studying Brachiosaurus.  Here is a paragraph about the Brachiosaurus’ size.

Brachiosaurus was huge.

One example is that Brachiosaurus has been found to be 10 times bigger than a modern elephant.  Scientists have also figured out that due to its immense size, Brachiosaurus would obviously have needed more than a thousand kilograms of food daily.  Also, Brachiosaurus was so big that the scientist who found the prehistoric creature took 4 years to dig the whole Brachiosaurus skeleton up from the ground in Tanzania, Africa.  The German scientist who found the Brachiosaurus said; “I am shocked that such an enormous creature has even ever existed.”  Lastly, Brachiosaurus needed so much food it had to migrate extremely frequently and consistently.  Surely after reading this you must understand why everybody thinks and knows that the Brachiosaurus was an exceedingly humongous creature.

Marketplace Research Day

Today was an exciting day!

In Social Studies we are studying economics.  This means we are studying the part of life called the economy.  The economy is anyone who makes a choice about their money.  There are producers, who sell things, and consumers, who buy things.  Today we were the producers.  My product that I was selling was a windchime. I sold 2 out of the 5 windchimes I made.  That was relatively good.  We had to rearrange the entire classroom and we learned about things like rent and business licenses.  I did not display it that well in the beginning.  That was one of the bad things that happened to me.  However, at least I earned one banther. I loved Marketplace today.  This is a picture of me and my fellow classmates selling things.

This picture was taken by Ryoko. She is a new student and so she could not understand very much English and therefore she could not make a product.  So she took pictures.  I think I will sell the ones with green circles and blue stars on them.  That is because those were the ones that my customers liked most.  I noticed that in the other classrooms somebody who was offering a service. This person was letting people play a sort of game with Nerf guns and the players would pay him for it.  He got quite a lot of money.

My feedbacks were quite good.  Everybody said yes on everything and only one person said I need improvement. In the middle and end I was holding the wind chimes with my hands.  She said I needed something to hold my wind chimes up.  The next market place takes place on May 18th.  I hope to make as many of my products as I can, and make improvements on them.

I had lots of fun on Market Place Day!
